So I have a client that may be interested in letting me sell these motocycles. I am supposedto call him later today. This is through a friend of mine. Apparently he has had them stored for 50 years. Here is all the info I got and a picture of each. Says they can be running in a matter of hours.
"49 & 51 simples. Made in new orleans la, during the war for service cycles. Both are orig."

I know nothing about bikes. I have been searching the net but haven't found any service bikes like these. I keep finding Indians and whatnot. Just wanted to get some opinions. Wasn't sure where to post this but it said service. They don't look like military bikes to me but then what do I know. rps20150705_040546.jpg rps20150705_040524.jpg

Do your search for a "Simplex Servi-Cycle" or "Simplex Servi Cycle" That should get you what you are after

Looks like super ORIGINAL condition. If both are like that it's a h***uva find.

    Cool bikes.

I would definitely invest a little bit getting them running. That makes a huge dif in $$$, especially in the auction forum. Beyond that I wouldn't touch them. Collectors love original dust and dirt.
You might want to act as an agent with a specialized motorcycle (Collector Automobile) type auction house such as RM or Barrett Jackson, Mecom etc.. They're always interested in all original "barn finds." The condition here I think might generate some interest. They're no Harleys or Indians but the interest is still there. Whatever you do make SURE you find your proper audience. The folks for this type bike are maybe a little thin on the ground but willing to step up for the right stuff, and they're located all over the country. Probably not too many of them located in Texas though.

GREAT find. The "right stuff" indeed.
