Brad, the lamp with the "bear" lampshade would go well in someone's lakeside cabin up in Wisconsin. :)

Kristiaan, I love that little house!

That house may have been made for someone's large scale "garden" train set. It's in awfully good shape to have been outdoors, but it isn't made like an architectural model. Maybe a store display?

Hi all! I know it's prime yard sale season, but unless there's a smoke detector or intruder involved, I just cannot seem to motivate myself out of bed in the wee morning hours to shop them. Managed to find some goodies (at least I think so) at the local thrifts and estate sales though.

A couple of pretty crystal pieces ... the perfume is hallmarked and stamped sterling France ... the little dish is unmarked (will probably be showing him again in the backroom discussion area ... Shhhhhhh)

Tiny little (about the size of my pinky finger) hinged box. Pill box?

Some funky sterling jewelry by Thomas Mann and Lucy Isaacs.

Lastly - some stuff found on the costume table. 14K divorced earring with (jade?) stone ... costume-but-cool-looking designer cuff links .... mystery metal piece was once a pin (broken and with all of its stones pried out) - need to visit the jeweler to ID the metal.

Thanks Pat. It's even prettier in person ... feels good too - has a nice weight.
There is what looks to be an identical match to it on eBay now (except one of us is reading the maker mark incorrectly ... or there were two different french makers with similar initials)

What are the markings on the cuff links? I see writing on them.

Nice Zippo, Terry. Quirkgirl, if the stones are pried out, I am betting it is a precious metal. The Christian Dior cuff links are great! I always pick up CD. I bought a pair of earrings Christian Dior pearl drop earrings in an antique mall for $4 and sold them for $118. Those cuff links should do well.

    Nice finds, all!

Paint loss on the Hirsch bookends, but the price was right. I think the boxed set are swizzle sticks ?? (fishing flies inside top) but they are very short --4.5 inches.

Also some cool yellow glasses --aviator I think, and they have sort of a "fit to face" folding mechanism at the bridge. book2.jpg sw2.jpg glasses2.jpg

kristiaan, very cool paintings with the medals, what a great way to display them!
lucille those bookends are wonderful! I'm not sure about those fly fishing things, the end (that goes into the drink) looks odd. Can they stand up? Yellow glasses should do well
