The C's On This Chanel Ring Don't Look Right, Do They?

I cannot find this exact ring out there, whether it be from a legitimate source or from a reseller.

I remember looking several years ago, and I did find the exact ring, but I don't recall where I saw it online.

There's not a whole lot of detail to the ring to even compare it to another one, but the C's on this one look a little too thick and not very refined. And the gap where the C's intertwine looks kind of sloppy. I just want some other opinions before I toss it (or maybe start wearing it...lol).

Actually looking at it up close on this site makes me see even more sloppiness, but I'll leave it up to get opinions - maybe I'll learn something.

 

Is it enamelled metal or plastic?

 

IMO the casting is way too rough to be Chanel.

 

Certainly not CHANEL quality.

There are a few similar pieces out there but the workmanship doesn’t look good enough and they aren’t the same. I don’t even know if the ones I have taken screen shots of are genuine but the C’s are much more clear cut. Is there anything inside yours?

Top one is a cuff bracelet. Bottom one was the only ring that popped up.

My guess is ... trashcan it, unfortunately. I got blindingly lucky once and found the real deal, this is before thrift stores locally sent all jewelry on line and researched the heck out of all of it, but this ain't that.

 

$825 for a plastic bracelet. That just baffles me. I cant believe people are that dedicated to a brand.

 

I think the whole branded thing a bit silly myself.

The Pandoras are actually decent quality. Not worth the price by a mile, but decent quality. With Chanel the quality is good, but you're paying through the nose for the name. For that money I'd rather have a modern inlaid NA sterling cuff bracelet. Or two of them. (or the way I bottom feed buy things, 20 of them!)

 

I'll add Premier Design to that one too. While not high end to begin with, the prices used to be a bit higher than your run of the mill costume jewelry. Now when you come across a piece that's a few years old, all of the plating is gone, and they look horrible.

 

Indeed. Whilst older costume, like Cabouchon say, survives well.
