Rose tongs

    It was a bit smaller unfortunately than what I thought and it looks funny against the tea set because of the scale of the sugar bowl. I’ll have to find another way to use them but I don’t know much about it.

    They are marked sterling but show no other marks. Any clue on who could have made them or a country of origin or dates?

    BMRT, your sweet little tongs may have been made by RAIMOND. (Raimond Silver Mfg. Co was founded around 1960s in Chelsea, MA. The company was subsequently acquired by W. & S Blackington Co. in the year 1966.)

    Maybe you'll have to get yourself a sterling sugar cube tray, so they'll be to scale.

    Thank you so much for this!

    The sold pair and the asking prices for the ones currently up for sale also make me feel better about the price for these. I paid $13 for them and was a little sore about not being able to use them. It looks like I got it for a good price. I’ll look into the tray next.
