Featured Help with a possible Art Nouveau vase

Hi all,

I found this vase which I'm trying to research. I've found a similar shaped vase online (https://www.antiques-atlas.com/antique/antique_art_nouveau_belguim_thulin_faience_vase/as645a101) but that claims to have marked as Made in Belgium.

Mine simply has what looks like an S.

I know there are some amazing people here that might have an idea on its provenance and if so, I'd love to hear it because I've hit a wall.

It may be a moulded period knock-off of a Thulin type form. I have spot checked several others of that brand and they are all well marked.

NICE WORK, @Roaring20s !!! I couldn't really clean up that bottom any....looks like there 'might' be a dark 'K' there, not that it would mean anything!

Welcome to the forum. That is a lovely vase!

Heads up, when you upload your pictures onto the site, be sure to check mark "Full Image" rather than "Thumbnail" under where it says "Insert". Most people will want to see the full image right away anyways.

If you run into any problems with your photos being too big (>1mg), there's a tutorial here somewhere that tells how to resize if you don't already know how to do that - basically you can use a website like imageresizer.com or email the pics to yourself which will make them smaller).

Absolutely, post as much as you like!

There is a very diverse group here location wise, so sometimes you may have to wait a bit for folks to see your stuff, but there's also a wide range knowledge on most subjects here, so you will find many answers for your questions.

 

Never heard of the pottery, but I like it! Good sleuthing, or expert Googling!
