I found this at a friend's thrift store, but because it was signed Dali on the front & a different name on the back, I asked the manager to hold it over night while I checked with you guys!
I'm thinking it is a Dali artwork done by the person whose signature is on the back?
Can anyone make out the name?
Thoughts on the painting? (even though it's small-er, I have so many I didn't want to buy it without asking for advise)
PS - Sorry first photo is not sharp - taken with my cell phone & I didn't realize it wasn't sharp until now!

The horse statue I did buy - I couldn't make out the name but an image search showed similar horse statues by different artists, but all for sale at a high price (compared to what I paid) - can someone tell me who the artist is?

As always thank you for your help!

The name on the back appears to be Margarita de Fonseca (or Fronseca.)

Why do you think the 2 signatures?

One (the one on the back) may well be the owner's. And think it's "Fonseca" as "Fronseca" doesn't appear to be a surname.

Allow me to float this idea, the location is Dali, China.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I'm going with Fronseca, but that's just me.......

Here is another similar painting they say is signed in the same manner. It is a companion to what I think is yours. The boat hasn't lost it's mast yet:D. They don't have additional info. They show it as unsold back in 2007 and a few other times, located in Ft Lauderdale.

Thanks - I left it because it didn't seem like it was anything special; not like I found today! (see my new post!)

Thanks all - turned out my new finds weren't great either - a Arlene Sherman that isn't worth what I thought and a beautiful bull fighting poster; that turned out to be a fantasy/tourist piece! sigh...
