Lorenza Figurine Fake?

This figurine turned up in a mixed lot . I am assuming that it is a fake but haven’t been able to find another the same. (As a fake I would expect to find lots of identical pieces ).Heading reads Lorenza. (Auto correct ) This should read Lorenzl.

The figure is heavy and almost certainly bronze that has been “silvered”. The silver is tarnished. Lorenzl’s signature varies greatly but this matches several genuine pieces .

The quality is quite good . The face looks poor but this is down to the patchy silvering. The line down a leg is a shadow and not there in reality.

Any thoughts?

No that one is not mine but it does look to be the same figure .

I've had similar in the past and did some research into them. The conclusion seemed to be there was a revival of production in the 50's using the original moulds. However due to wear they had been repolished and some detail was lost along with lesser attention to casting and finishing leading to a somewhat inferior looking product. Some figures had the signature mark, others did not. JL died in 1950 and details were sketchy as to whether these later casts were official estate work or third party.

I never managed to find a 100% watertight answer, but the above seems reasonable and explanatory of why you see matching figures of different quality.
