OK, I went selectively picking at a local thrift store today because I only made $150 over the weekend at my yard sale. But when I saw this I was so intrigued & had never seen anything like it - so I bought it.
I will take price off in a moment - I took a pic at the store & was going to try to post it here using my phone; but by the time I'd forwarded the photos to my email I decided I was going to own this no matter what! So when I got home I saved the pics from my email & posted here - and will now go remove price tag!
When I plug it in the light inside the rings starts going in circles - what the heck have I found?!
A counter top advertising sign for the Olympic fencing tent?
    Thank you!

Olympic is 5 rings, I believe. Trinity?

Please give close ups of all the wording on the back.

Isn't there a beer brand logo with 3 rings?

The style of the stars makes me think 50's.

SYNCHRON is a brand of electric motors but what does the motor turn on that?

Somebody cut out the part on the right and affixed those 2 "swords?" with brown paper behind them?

Such a poor job at it too. I've seen lots of nice advertising pieces"repurposed"/ruined over the years.

Are those swords "cocktail picks?" Maybe someone thought it would still be a cool sign for a home bar, but was not fond of the Ballantine's logo?
    It is a shame, though.

    Maybe it’s intact, underneath?
But the words on the rings are gone, too.

What a shame whoever did that! See if there is anything left underneath. Gonna be hard to sell if the wording is gone. Hopefully it's still there!

I guess I'm going to hve to open it to see - I can either have someone repaint/reverse paint on it or sell as a week end project. At least I believe I should make some money & not lose any!

PS - you guys are the best! Thanks Kronos!

PSS - Your not the actual Kronos, right friend?!?! (a movie about the 1st self aware computer that was going to solve all man's problems, but as soon as it came online realized that man was the problem & the only way to save earth was to get rid of man - and then set off all nuclear weapons - then building robots to hunt down the last survivors!

Kronos - it was meant as a compliment; not that you were the type/going to destroy humanity - but that your as sharp/quick as a computer (just wanted to clarify! lol)
