Featured Brooch with ornate back

    i remember a thread about brooches with ornate backs but can’t remember the maker. Can anyone remind me please or guide me to the thread?

    Bear beat me to it. Austrian would be my first guess, followed by Czech. The filigree back always makes me think Austrian, but the two were one political entity for hundreds of years so...

    Thankyou. It's really bugging me as I'm sure somewhere in a thread I read about a maker who was known for decorating the back.

    There are oodles of those. One maker with a fancy back is 1928 Jewelry Company. They've only been around since the early 80s, and make or made mostly vintage-inspired pieces.
