Hip Flask identification

Hi guys,
I'm trying to identify this hip flask presented on picture below. I bought it from a guy in Scotland, but without any information about the origin.
I'd like to find out the manufacturer, but even more important to me - they year of production. This flask is made of embossed brass, with hand finished engraved details. Also looks like manually assembled (welded). It is silver coated. Unfortunately there are no manufacturer touch marks, dates, stamps etc. Completely nothing allowing to identify it.
I was contacting the English Pewter and Edwin Blyde & Co, but they told me that definitely not their design.
I was digging in Google Images, checking thousands of flasks and couldn't find anything similar.
Maybe any of you could help with the identification?

Greg, it looks Asian to me. Possibly Anglo-Indian, but I think further east, Cambodia, maybe? Could you show photos of the other sides?

@kyratango , what do you think, possibly Cambodian?

 

Agree with possibly Anglo-Indian, vegetal decor is rather round as...worms, not the acanthus leaves I'm used to see on Cambodian design, and what seems to be a beast in the middle escutcheon doesn't look as any I know in my pieces.

 

You put it so nicely.
It doesn't have the finesse of Anglo-Indian silver, but then it is not silver.

That looks a bit like a New Zealand Maori Tiki, without the tongue. The rest of the flask doesn't look Maori at all.



My thought is somewhere in Asia, but where?

This part on the front could be a Buddhist conch shell, in which case it could be Himalayan:

 

with those furry arms , long claws and tufted ears it reminds me of a ...... wolf.....maybe...??

 

Is that some kind of mark on the top just above the cap?

It's barely visible. I was thinking that this may be a couple of scratches. But now looking at the picture... with correlation to Asian styling - I think it may be a Chinese character.
Looking for the Asian flasks I literally found now one with very similar shape and some engravings:

Did you pay in a similar price range as the sold one on ebay??? It would be nice for you if you didn't get "robbed"!!!!

 

Nope, I spent 20% of that amount. Even if not worth much, I simply like the very unique & rare design and want to re-plate the finish to restore it fully.

This is an interesting thread. Another one that I'm learning from this morning. I wish I could help, but know nothing about these.

 

I found this hip flask in my local thrift store. I cant find any makers marks. Any idea of it's origin or age ? It appears to be made of tin but has weight to it. Any thoughts or help is much appreciated.

And I thought I saw some letters in two places also......but wouldn't swear they were English.....along the back CENTER bottom where I've cut-off - FIRST, then along the bottom - FRONT in the goldish looking LEFT area.....looks sort of like 4 letters.......
