While going through the old mill, we found an old Klondike chicken egg incubator. It was ran off of kerosene lamp. It has a glass window on the top and has another glass window inside the fold down door. The box is in decent condition. It has minor damage to the corners but over all is good. The windows are free from cracks. Inside, there is a shelf that was to hold the eggs. There are two vents on the top.

    Hi,
We did not need one. There was always an old Banty hen that would sit on stones and try and hatch them. Once I found her sitting on 9 eggs 3 jack balls and a cap gun, never figured that one out. When I tried to remove it she damn near pecked my hand off.:chicken::chicken::chicken::chicken::chicken::chicken::chicken::chicken: When it wasn't time to brood we had 6 porcelain eggs for her to sit on. She once hatched four duck eggs. When those ducklings when into the water for the first time she had such a fit. Squawking and flapping wings and running back and forth.:confused::confused::confused:

And then there was a four-year-old girl who, after her daddy had brought some baby chicks into the house in a box because of a severe "cold-snap" and set them beside the big oil-circulating heater, managed to use the chicks' drinking water to "bathe" 4 or 5 of the chicks because they were "dirty."

I honestly forgot I posted the incubator here, at the time I didn’t have pictures but I’ll attach some now just for fun. C8053669-27A7-4F6C-969B-50E6C735494C.jpeg F71E2918-B63D-4EAF-99AC-75310BEC9F2A.jpeg 93CE8813-2208-4D29-8A0C-449DC06B0DA8.jpeg

I wasn't around at the time of the original post, enjoying seeing it now with photos.

I've heard of chicken with dumplings before. This hen seems to have made her peace with her aquatic brood.
