I've spent some time on this, and am coming up with nothing. Would like an ID on the old "mission" and who the artist is. It is 11"x14", a print I believe and signed.
Thanks so much for any help. Chipperdoug marshallprint1 001.jpg marshallprint2 001.jpg

I think I was there as a child. We lived in Tucson and went to Nogales fairly often so would have passed right by. We stopped at pretty much any place of interest.

I definitely remember the Mission San Xavier del Bac south of Tuscon as they have a story about a cat and mouse carving on the front that if the cat catches the mouse the world will end. Scared me:wideyed:

Sorry I don't know your artist.

Looks like the H in H. Marshall stands for "Hugh" if that was illegible. Strikes me as "1990s"-ish. You search copyrighted records at

    https://cocatalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?DB=local&PAGE=First

    he shows up as
    upload_2019-4-26_17-51-37.png upload_2019-4-26_17-51-37.png

I don't see the mission in that list, so maybe didn't submit that for registration.
Almost all are music, and of course there a likely hundreds of Hugh Marshalls, but looks like this one could be relevant:
Title: Tubac, Arizona / artwork and layout Hugh Marshall. 1988

The Library of Congress database is only a card catalog (no artwork).

Might set you on your way to more research.

More on your guy: https://tubac.pastperfectonline.com/archive/1DC9074C-E4D7-4DA3-8770-942809522820. Seems he might have lived in Nogales for a while, he drew a CoC map for Nogales and Tubac.

"Hugh Marshall of Nogales provided the illustrations. He began his career as a police artist with the Phoenix Police Department. His sculptures, paintings and caricatures are sold across the country." https://www.nogalesinternational.co...cle_83480187-28e9-5897-93b4-ae34c237d452.html

I think we've collared your guy.
