From the Seine picture, looks like JBJ signed last name as 2 words: Jong Kind.

 

I figured just a label, not a signature.

Even with that fading and oxidation it is glossy, like a contemporary photograph.

 

Being signed as it is, I suspect it is an "original" photographic print done by the artist. I could be wrong.

 

If it's glossy, I agree that you may have an original photograph.

I like the composition... it draws me in and seems like part of a story.

 

There are a few Dutch photographers called Jongkind, one of them could have taken this while in Passau, Germany.
