200+ sales listed today and almost none sound worth going to. 55 degrees and raining. I went to one not far away and was going to go back home and nap. I decided to take the long way home. Ran into an unlisted sale.

Everything was 25 or 50 cents

    This is my favorite piece

    I don't think it's marked

The 14K Wittnauer is running fast. Should I get my fifty cents back?

    Hi Terry,
I will give you three dollars and fix it for you of course the one I return will be plastic and quartz. See what a nice guy I am. I love the tommyhawk but I like the
    bubblegum box better.

Terry, just curious but ... is that little tomahawk by any chance a penknife?

Wow, you really fell into it today, didn't you? Congrats on the great finds.;)

Looks like. Also looks like a score - it's getting hard to find gold-filled at a decent price any more in these parts. Sometimes they want $5 for Claire's! (ack) Is the enameled edelweis pin sterling or just copper/brass?

    Undecided. Maker's mark but I don't see a hallmark.

Great items, Terry. I love the cigar/bubble gum box!

Am I the only one who finds it really odd that people don't check for karat marks before putting things out for sale?

    Hi komokwa,
I have seen people toss sterling silver items out because they do not want to polish Grandma's stuff anymore. Some people have absolutely no interest in any of old stuff and toss.
