Sorry to keep bothering everybody, just hitting the ground running trying to learn more here and my wife keeps finding neat stuff.
The pictures are of a painting (original) by someone named Robert Wood. Problem is I can’t find anything about him at all. Does this mean he might have just been a local painter back in the 50s? I live in Montana if that makes a difference. Also if it was just a local guy without any really name recognition does the painting have value beyond aesthetics? I really like it regardless just don’t know how I should be treating it, lol.

On second thought, maybe it is a reproduction? If it was an original how much texture would the canvas have from the paint? The ornate old looking frame may have thrown me off, lol... cause now that I’ve modified my search a bit I’ve found this exact painting online (replicas).

Out of curiosity if a reproduction is well done and nicely framed does it have any value? Or is it just for looks?
