Is this what Wedgwood calls the shape? You do not mean this, right?

    Hi Bronwen,
Mine are more urn shaped with two tiny handles. They are about 3"high. I have them in many colors but my black and white one got broken. greg s-l225.jpg

I'm able to find the shape by searching for 'Wedgwood miniature urn' but not currently in black jasper ware.

    Hi Bronwen,
I know for some reason the black and white ones are not seen over here in the USA. I have found two in the UK but at 25 times the price. When I bought my first pair they were 4.99 each. The last one I found was 2 years ago and it was 79 dollars plus 115.00 in shipping from England. I find all of the other colors from 3.99 to 15.99 here. They are not rare but why so expensive?

The ones in black seem rare to me.

I've been keeping my eyes peeled. The blue and green jasperware turn up all the time here, but never the black in anything. I'm getting up two hours early tomorrow to go to an estate sale with all sorts of bits. I'll have to remember to keep my eyes peeled for black jasperware, especially bitty urns.

Personally, every grand diner I serve has a fish course just so I may lay out my fish knives and forks. I got them and I use them. Would it be OK here if i posted a picture of my last dinner setting for clarity?[/QUOTE]

Chandler, I assume the photo at the top of your post is of your grand dinner setting? If so, Wow! Thanks for posting it. And all dishwasher safe of course :)

I'm reminded of that scene in "Titanic".

that small fork on the extreme right is a big nono, especially across a spoon. a small dripping dish or plate would do the trick, especially for olives, crevettes, amuses-gueules etc. .
but hey, that's everyone's taste. and the rules are different in different countries.
