I picked this hawaiian shirt up this week, it's 2pcs sleeveless then a shirt sleeve, is there a special name?

Bark cloth, by way, and likely 1960s heading into the 1970s.

so the ladies is the sleeveless, is it called a shell?

I wouldn't call it a shell because -- to me -- a shell is round-necked and closes in the back. Someone else may disagree. I'd call it a sleeveless blouse.

I agree with sleeveless blouse. IMO a shell goes over the head. Cool set. Can’t imagine that it’s not a His n Hers.

I think there is a way to know if one is a man's and one is a woman's.

Women's clothing buttons are on the left side of the opening with the buttonholes on the right side of the shirt.

Men's clothing (shirt) buttons are sewn on the right side of the shirt with the buttonholes being on the left side of the shirt.

Indeed the two shirts have their buttons on opposite sides, as would a his/hers set

I would list them individually because it would greatly limit your market trying to find a couple who fit both. That said, I would reference the other piece in each listing to get maximum interest.

    Hi,
Remember that real Hawaiian shirts are only made with coconut shell buttons. If they have plastic buttons they are newer and have less of a value. I have been wearing them since the 1940s. My favorite ones are Rayon but I have had several of the barkcloth also.

Ideally I’d agee with you and I have no idea where the shirts are being listed but if it’s on eBay I’d suggest being careful as any reference to another listing in a listing is definitely against policy. Whether that’s acted upon or not, is another story. Perhaps it would be safer to say something in each listing like “This piece is half of a his/her pair” and leave the rest unsaid. I know if I read that I’d definitely look at the seller’s other listings.
