Featured religious pendant

this little thing has a paper inside, I haven't taken it out though, anyone know what it is ?

It's a mezuzah pendant. I would keep the scroll in there, especially if it's a handwritten (kosher) one. The handwritten ones can be pretty expensive.

 

Oh cool, Thanks Barn Owl. If I take it out to check it, will it ruin the value?

 

Nah, should be fine. Pretty sure the kosher ones are made from vellum, so if it looks like animal hide, that may be a way to know without removing it, if you're worried about damaging it.

Cute little mezuzah pendant. I wouldn't worry about that one being Kosher; I've found the same scroll pendant and the scroll was just printed. It probably had a cap on the end occasionally.
