The collet necklace reminds me of the Georgian ones that Anna Wintour wears massed.

Interesting. Not a shape well suited to being a pendant, and, although it makes no difference, it hangs in the opposite direction to the way most (right-handed) people would pin it. Think bail has been added. What is the mark by the hinge?

I’m sure you’re correct on the bail being added, it’s marked 14k and an O in a diamond.

Are you sure it's a bail? Looks like some kind of "lock" for the pin stem.

Just a bail, it doesn’t lock.

I just hung it on a chain and it doesn’t work as a pendant, strange thing. I guess there would have to be another jumper ring for that to work.

The watch was mass production costume, but given the fragility odds are not that many survived. Dunno as it's worth much, but it has to be rare.

Speaking of watches... It was either a lady's watch or possibly a locket with a deceased relative's photo. That's what was generally on one of those bails.

Natural, naturally. I could go for a nice conch pearl, myself.

Odd thought ... I wonder how many of those have been tossed as "junk" by people who didn't know. :(:(:(:arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh: (I wish if they were throwing them, they'd thrown them at me!)

So, I forgot that I actually have a “find,” LOL! I went to a vintage fair — vintage clothes not my thing, but there was other stuff there. And one guy had a record booth and was playing some Santana. So I was humming along and we got to talking as I was perusing his other LPs. He said he had more copies of the seminal “Abraxas” album and it’s one I know I liked, so I found this copy. Turns out it’s a first pressing, and the LP has hardly ever been played. Album is in fair to good condition and the photo poster is there, too. DH and I played it that night and it was just like Santana was in the room! Something about old vinyl... $25CDN.

I love older items with cats, so was excited to find this old change purse or child's purse at an estate sale for $1.

This last weekend, I took a bus to Prague and visited the flea market there, hoping to score some Saphiret or dragon's breath. I unfortunately didn't find any pieces, but I did walk away with a large (admittedly, terribly heavy) hoard of glass necklaces and about a pound or so of foiled and un-foiled paste stones (rhinestones?).
