Again i am reaching out for your help, to see if anyone can tell me about age and type of jewelry here. At first, they look quite cheap, typical "costume jewelry" - but looking closer at it the workmanship is quite interesting, and they have an interesting color scheme. But what is it, what are their age, and are they of interest to collectors?
    I cross my fingers for good answers yet again! 2019-03-11 18.42.19-1.jpg 2019-03-11 18.42.33-1.jpg 2019-03-11 18.43.48-1.jpg 2019-03-11 18.43.58-1.jpg 2019-03-11 18.44.18-1.jpg 2019-03-11 19.06.41-1.jpg 2019-03-11 19.06.53-1.jpg

Lovely beads, Torkel. The earrings could be homemade using Murano beads, but the 'costume joolies' will know more about it.
The leverback earhooks are mostly used in Europe. The brackets should go over the hooks. If you bend the hooks so they are a little more round, the brackets can snap over them. I'll see if I can find a photo for you so you can see what they should look like.

Thanks again for your wonderful feedback- always! As i am not an avid user of earrings, i have no clue what you are talking about re. the bending of the hooks- so i think i will leave them as it is for now, hopefully someone else in here will know better than this ignorant Norwegian! :)

As long as the explanation is right, 'the little grey cells' will pick it up.:) I was looking for an open pair as well, but Etsy wouldn't help.;)
Be very gentle with the hooks, you don't want them to break.

They're reasonably modern dichroic glass. Given the fact that they're well made with good clasp hooks, possibly Italian made. There are, however, some very nice bits of dichroic glass coming out of China.

Dead recent in fact; those leverbacks have become popular in the last decade. I don't think it's possible to pin those down. I could have made them myself. Mass-produced dichroic glass, or really a cased glass in this instance, metal spacers, a miyuki-style cube bead and strung on a head pin? Yep, dead easy.

well thanks for all comments, and i see the problem; it may have a fair age, but they can also be fairly new. But still quite nice, so i will hold on to them in my private treasure chest of "costume jewelry! :)
