Featured Interesting wall hanging- origin?

Thinking a tourist souvenir item? But age and origin? Maybe from the 70’s or 80’s. Has a faded blue lining on the back. It’s 18cm wide and 84cm long. I would appreciate any comments. Thank you and keep well

    Looks very very similar. So you must be right,Norway is definitely a strong possibility. Handmade. Thank you for the reply and link.

    I don't see handmade. And, yes, these narrow, woven panels are typically derived from bell pulls. As above, yours does look Norwegian.

    Norwegian. Hand stitched. Bell pull. Likely 1960/70s when these were popular. My aunt had cushion covers done in the same technique. My mom stitched a bell pull in the 70s IIRC, but it was a different stitch technique. :)

    My Dad's family emigrated to Canada from Norway during the Depression. Lots of Norwegian stuff around when I was growing up.

    Very nice -- It reminds me of a holiday item, but probably that is just because it is that season.
