    Hi All

I recently picked up these unusual jugs, I think probably mid century? Though look much older than that, but probably made in the style of. As you can see in the pics, has fairly large embossed fruit or flower? Can see the handle joins and embossed designs are slightly different, so I have no doubt they are hand made. Appear to be clay as can be seen inside on base, with some sort of bronze effect coating? The coating is probably only 1mm thick, as you can see where its scratched the clay shows through, and from that I can see the coating is about 1mm.

So any ideas what these might be? Age, style, location? Are they 'good' examples, studio pottery maybe? I can see these may have sat in a farm house or somewhere similar. Any info greatly received as I'm struggling to find anything that looks quite like them online.

    Thanks
    Paul

They're repros of ancient Greek pots, with an arificial patina. I've got some, use them in the garden.

Yes they will be put to use as jug or vase. It's £2 well spent I'm sure. :)

I'm just checking in for the first time today & see another anatomical listing ahead for stone balls. One of those days.
