Ha! Me too cannot put them on easily, it is always a struggle and pain:arghh:
I highly prefer simple shepherd hooks:)

I put them on and I keep them on for months.
Indeed, its not easy to put them on, but once they are, you are set for life!:hilarious:
A shame for all the other earrings that dont get enough use though...
Not wearing has never been a reason for me to sell something

Dessert-Thanks for the help.I thought I made-up the term 'fish hook earrings'-maybe I'm not as dumb as I thought (but probably so).
A lot of our 'Joolies' have so much knowledge,You all must study a lot.
It was mind-blowing to walk thru the V&A Jewelry Collection-I need to buy a 'Dummy's Guide' to Jewelry.
An 80 year retired female jeweler was standing next to me at the Thrift as I looked thru the Jewelry Case,I'd pick something up-Jade $129.99 and she'd say-'Junk !',then I looked at a Tribal Necklace and she says-'Junk !'
Then she started educating the lady behind the counter as to what all this 'cra*' really was.
She scared me away from pickin' jewelry that day,a priceless lesson that was free !

I know, once they are on, they are quite comfortable. Sometimes, getting them off is more difficult than getting them on haha.

Maybe I can just get buried with these earrings

That is interesting! I have never seen Poissarde earrings with anything dangling from them. That was another reason I bought them. Especially because is it looks like a Maltese cross. They just look like they come straight from a movie or videogame :p I have a ring that has a similar shape. I like to collect pieces with crosses or clover/trefoil shapes.

I had to ask my husband before to remove them when I had cut my nails. Because you need quite the long nail to get them off. Maybe I just need to find a better technique :D

I was thinking the same thing, the dealers at our local flea market are like sharks! They still miss good stuff though.
I’ve had one of them whisper to me that something is rubbish when I know it isn’t so don’t always believe them.

Ksw omg that is so rude!
The pickers in my neighborhood just all ignore me.
They seem interested in other stuff than me anyway so in turn I just ignore them also.
All the other competition where I live is only looking for gold.
The things I like are scarce so it doesn t matter anyway.
I would be so angry if someone was trying to scare me off like that though!

    Yes, mostly round here too.
A dealer handed me two necklaces and said ‘these are only plastic, you can have both for £8.
    Yep, cherry Bakelite :smug:.
And a ‘plated’ grouse foot brooch with a sneaky 15ct mark hidden under a ratty old feather.
I can be sneakier than them!
