I bought the green topper but it doesn't match color wise. I am happy to get anything in the right range of style though. I'll put them together and see what you think when I get them.

If it is cold to the touch it could be agate.

I could easily see needing one.

I think her logic is to try to sell at volume at first. Saves a lot of hassle. Apparently she is a stay at home mom with a passle of kids. I'm just grateful she had a couple of spares.

The stones look like they are glued in and are smaller than the bezels, maybe replacements.

So I'm going to try to replace some stones on the bottles with some Tibetan turquoise as @Any Jewelry has suggested. Should I look to see if I can do the same for these? I'm not sure how to get them unglued to pry them out with damaging the silver. Do you have any suggestions?

Can't tell what type of glue was used, alcohol or put it in the freezer for a couple hours and see if they will pop out with a little pressure, warm up with a hair dryer....

Are you talking about the brown one in the first set or the brown one in the second set? Let me show you the reverse of the brown one in the second set which has a some chips. [IMG]

Thanks so much!!!! I'll try that. I think it would look more "right" with turquoise

I was thinking about the first set :joyful:
The one in your pic just above could be stone, you'll be able to say when in your hands ;)

Thanks. So when I get it in hand, can you help making this determination - tell me what to look for? I would very much appreciate that.

If you want to replace the green for turquoise cabochons, you can try alcohol as Holly said. That usually works.
Temperature. If the brown material is cold, it is likely to be agate.
The brown bottle in the first set is probably carved yak horn. It could also be stained bone.
Buffaloes (water) would probably freeze to death in Mongolia.:(
