strange scary doll

i have an email asking me to confirm my newsletter subscription, and have received one newsletter

 

@daveydempsey I read your post in the announcements, and I the member use gmail, Have checked and double checked spam folder, promotions, social, every folder i have i have checked, also the spam settings etc. i see no reason on my end why i have not recieved a registration email. i did receive and email to confirm subscription to newsletter, which i did. Really interested in posting finds that i come across.

k, not sure how to remove the post, obviously this site is either way to advanced for me, or outdated.... one or the other lol.... i feel idiotic having such simple issues using this, i feel like it shouldnt be this hard....

 

no edit button...... lol....

 

oh, nice doll btw, i know nothing about it, just dont stab it with needles or nothing....

 

trying to stick it out and use this forum in hopes that i can gain more knowledge on items that i have a hard time researching, im always finding old things, sometimes i can find out everything i need to know about them, and others i hit brick walls and need people who have insight on where to go to find the info.... for instance, i grabbed a pair of scissors up at a yard sale, i figured mid 50s ish, but i am unable to find anything on them, they are marked with a name, an american location, and germany on one side, and Deluxe on the other. Im pretty sure they are for hair dressing really intrigued by them, the name on them is leading me back as early as 1920s... but until i find someone who has experience with antique/vintage scissors, they are just an old piece of steel i paid a dollar for....

 

Or something! There is a set of pear head dolls in the historical society collection here. The Rogue Valley, OR is known for it's pioneer fruit orchards, in particular the pear industry. I guess my point is, there are examples of these dolls being made with other types of organic materials also. Just don't stick any pins in it with ill-intent!
