I am intrigued. So this is Japanese or a Japanese technique?

Good question. The blue base says Chinese, but I'm no expert.

I have one Cloisonné vase and a bunch of cloisonné beads, so that is my level of expertise. I read that Ginbari is Japanese. Maybe it's a Chinese copy of a Japanese technique. :playful:

This satin cobalt blue feathered oil lamp for 2 bucks - an easy buy - I love the blue color and how the white plays on it.

@johnnycb09 . Those combs were almost certainly made by a company called Fish Enterprises who also traded as King or Crown. British, 1980s, had stuff designed here and made in China.

Looks like Houseful got the goods today! I hit an estate sale this morning in the just-above-zero weather (wore a hoodie with the hood tied on under my down coat) and spent $5. It would have been $2 but I couldn't find two singles and it was a family sale.

I got some busted rosaries, but vintage ones, some glass bead necklaces for ...dunno, and a killer open-backed rhinestone necklace in original box. It had earrings, but one of those is only half there. There's also a sterling golf ball charm in solid silver ...and an Omega Seamaster. Now if it was a working Seamaster...but for $5 total beggars can't be choosers. At some sales the necklace box alone would have been five bucks.

I have a similar NA 'style' watch band.... turq & coral chip inlay.....
I used to think was good....BUT...the end of the expansion bracelet is marked Hong Kong S/S....& what I thought was cast silver...seems to be plated something or other. No marks on the two end pieces.
    I hope yours is better.......
A watchmaker could bring the Seamaster back to life !

    Those combs were a steal.

That Omega will sell well even not working.

here are a few goodies I've picked up over the last little while. I love the musical bird in a cage, I'll never be able to afford one of the antique ones so this will have to do:) also found a Medicine Hat Potteries elephant planter, Portmeirion 'Totem' Bowl, Westmoreland Candle holders with label and some jewelry. The box says Fifth Avenue Collection but the pieces aren't marked so I'm not sure what they are.
