Date My Cambridge Colonial Pewter Oneida Anchor Plate

Found this pewter plate in the attic of my garage, can't find anything about it on the internet. Appears to be made by Cambridge Colonial, I'm curious if anyone has seen one before. I wonder how old it is and where this Silver Saddle place used to be. It appears to be some kind of a plate from a restaurant.

I don't think its a plate to eat dinner on, because of the raised logo, I think it was more for the middle of the table with bread / biscuits / whatever. Based on the wear on this plate it was some really hip and happening place between 1880-1937 but I wish I knew more about it.

Anyone heard of The Silver Saddle and can give any info on the plate?

 

Why do you say 1937 is the most recent end of the possible range?

As for The Silver Saddle - where are you? Seems to me that it should have been relatively close to where you found the plate.

 

It says "Cambridge Colonial" BY and then there is another word after that.
Try a little cornstarch or baby powder rubbed into the word to see if the you can decipher the letters.

I would wager 1950s 60s chop plate for a hunt club.
That is an English saddle.

 

I'm in Michigan, I did a little research on the company that made the plate, pretty sure I read that they stopped making pewter plates in 1937 somewhere. But I don't know for sure.

As already suggested, circa 1970s - not pewter, but a cast aluminum-based alloy, similar to Wilton Armetale. Might be of interest to restaurant ware collectors (perhaps an establishment near a racetrack?)...

There is also a Silver Saddle Steakhouse in Tucson; however, I very much doubt they would have had an English riding saddle as their logo or like Cheryl suggested a race track like a jockey club.

There is a Silver Saddle restaurant in Saratoga, NY. Now that is a race track town. Oooops, my error, that is Saratoga WY rather than NY.
