I'm bidding on this brooch pin at my local auction. I have found one currently for sale on eBay and the Seller there isn't sure either. My best guess so far is Royal Enfield Motorcycle company? The company is the oldest motorcycle manufacturer in India. I found the meaning of IHA is an Indian female name that means wish, desire. So, maybe it's a stretch but the pin could be saying the RE is your wish or desire? It's also green so colors seem to match.

Any thoughts what company this is or did I get it right? My first thought was that it resembles aircraft wings a pilot would wear. First two pics are examples from the web with the second, round one definitely from the motorcycle company and the last one is the same one I'm bidding on as the first image. The fonts don't match with the known round one but maybe the brooch is earlier? Thanks for looking.

Royal Enfield is a British company. Their logo is not the same as the initials on your brooch. The shade of green is also different.
Yes they are, but that doesn't make them Indian. Philips is the oldest light bulb manufacturer in India, but that doesn't make them Indian either.;)
So an Indian lady desires a Royal Enfield? RE started out by making needles and also made bicycles. Maybe she wanted a set of needles?
So yes, it is a stretch, especially because it isn't the RE logo.:playful:

Looks to be in the style of an antique 'RAF' logo/signet,but of course Royal Air Force doesn't have an I or E in it's title and not RE.

RAF was my first guess too, but the initials don't add up.

There's only 5x4x3x2x1 combinations for REIHA (120 possible orders). You can tell by that math I've placed a few exotic wagers. LOL

Deleted by moderator I thought this was a supportive community, and a place to try and find answers about hard to identify objects and NOT somewhere for me to be mocked for brainstorming ideas about possibilities in search of answers.

"Oh, you silly little fool." -that's your mantra.

Sweet, I don't know how those initials add up to Daughters of Rebekah Lodge but I'll take it. I tried a google image search using the logo in the center of the brooch and I got the match to eBay but that Seller wasn't aware of the origin either. Thank you so much for the answer!

Sometimes we joke Zee,very little if any of it is malicious-and you will frequently find answers.By the way-good math skills.
Speaking of math skills-I just picked up a mint (in case ) a 1973 HP 45 Scientific Calculator 'Pocket Computer for $5.00.Pretty damn small for those days (pre- Saturday Night Live & The Beatles had only been broken up for 3 years).

There is still the troll name-calling. Rude. I expect the deleted part was even worse.
And anyone who knows me, knows that is far from the truth.

Independent Order of Odd Fellows said it's not a Rebekahs pin so back to square one. Unless the person from the Poshmark post has expert information? My answer came from the source, as far as I know. It's a mystery maybe best left unsolved.

Yes they were, everything I said was correct. I understood full well what you were trying to say about the initials, but that doesn't mean I have to say it makes sense when it doesn't.
But this is my last reply to you, you are rude and insulting. You have no respect for the moderators or for fellow members.
You even repeated what a moderator deleted, like a slap in their face. No one has ever been that rude here.

And here's another one saying Hotel and Restaurant Employees Trade Union. But goodness knows, they might have just picked it up from the one of the other listings and are passing it along as truth. A little telephone down the wire game, as it were.
