Ram Head Table Chair

These chairs were passed down to me from my grandfather and I’m seeking any information possible on them. Age? Value? Any help would be appreciated.

Nice,well carved and finished... I was hoping for a Scythian Throne,but nice.

 

Beautiful, although we don't know what the entire thing looked like. But what remains for us to admire is stunning.

 

Yes,a full item photo as an intro is always good-it's like a preface to your little book.

 

Think the chairs are circa 1900 and bit more unusual than most. Value will really depend on how many you have. Maybe $30 or so for a single. This is a bit better than most of this type since unusual. Value goes up with multiples if all in the same condition.

 

Certainly, but I meant the Scythian throne you mentioned. Only an armrest.

 

I've been watching the British Museum Channel on YouTube a little too much,seeing Scythian Thrones instead of the Naugahyde ones in front of me.

 

Thank you for the information! I have a set of 6 of those chairs. A couple of them have some damage unfortunately. But nothing that can't be fixed, I might be looking into repairing them soon.
