Two yard sales and one flea market, all the same weekend. I had quite a run on pins this summer and almost all my best ones went. Since then I have been searching and finding not much so I was very happy to come across these, and at a bargain price :)

Yes, Bronwen said white lava and after some research I agree. (Even though I know I don’t really need to research what she says I think it’s always best to check.) Her nose is still there, it’s just a bit worn down.

Tested the jade beads with my Presidium, definitely jateite jade.

    No, they aren’t mat :)

Most days I find ways to waste gasoline. Today I found some modern Israeli gold hoops, 14k cuff links. a sterling MMA necklace (not big but hey) and a small piece of 10k that got tossed in gratis. Then I scored two of those Pyrex refrigerator boxes. Small ones, but red paint intact and with the lids. They cost a whopping $2.50 for the pair. What do I want with them? No idea, but for that price it was a no-brainer.

@MrNate would be so proud. Reed and Barton Sterling Bowl - X832. That's right $6

Unfortunately, I would never wear it. It is beautiful on but I don't have anything in that range.

I'm a copper girl, preferring it to silver most of the time. It's certainly more affordable, and the designs tend to be wilder.

Recent Charity shop buys. The Czech glass necklaces have issues, a bead drop and some metal bits missing but for £1 each..
Italian silver chain and CZ pendant, ‘Exquisite’ marcasite brooch, burgundy glass bracelet, silver chain with a glass pendant, think that chain may not be the original.
18k white gold and diamond earrings £1.99, single diamond gold brooch £3.95. Brooch is unmarked and appears to have a brass strip and steel pin.
The earrings were just too heavy to be silver when I picked them up and the structure was very similar to a pair of 18ks my Mum had. Got home and tiny 18k on the wing nut, but nothing on the posts.

It does turn up. You never can tell.

I bought bags of beads today at a moving sale - the prices on the loose intact stuff were pretty high. Modern and $10 each...nah. There was one I really liked; it was $20. Nope. I it except a coral bracelet that matched a former necklace in one of the bags. (the earrings were in there too) And a sterling pendant with full Mexico City marks - $5 each. In one bag was a small no-account 14k necklace and what may be 14k beads. Need to test those. The necklace may pay for the whole thing.

Don't recall the VILLA mark. The little MS-22 stamp intrigued me. Haven't tested yet.

Guess I don't need to test it.

It is common for marks to be under the tag here. Not by design, just by stupid.

This isn't really a find, but it was a birthday present last week. Look at the insane size of the pot on the cover of this book!

And here's a kinda hilarious 1925 picture of Maria and her sisters. I have pieces by two of the sisters, but I'm still waiting to find the Maria........
