    Hello
    I live in England and so does my seller. The seller's name is "REMOVED BY MODERATOR", they are a LAPADA and CINOA member.

    Their description of the item;

    "A large 17th century (circa 1680) oak gateleg table with bobbin turned legs.
    This table consists of an oak plank top with one drawer below and is supported by bobbin turned legs and stretchers.
    When purchased the top was quite dull in colour so this has been re-polished.
    This table is in good, original condition for age and can go straight into a home, this table will comfortably seat six and possibly eight."

    Size:
    Height: 28.5'' / 73cm
    Width: 54'' / 137cm open
    21'' / 53.5cm closed
    Depth: 46'' / 117cm

    Can you please try your best to confirm its age as late 17th century? Also do you think the price of £1,450 ($1,687 USD) is reasonable?

    komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    I wouldn't think that a table to sit at........ones feet would bang the legs constantly....

    A sacrifice for the sake of beauty.;)
    My parents had an 18th century gate-leg dinner table, and we managed without bruises.

    Nice. So have men with powdered wigs and fancy frock coats over 300 years ago around this table.

    Wrong crowd, even if period is right, which, if it is, the price is not that crazy, but a bit steep.

    I'll see if I can negotiate the price. How does £1,200 sound?
