ddoty.com is excellent for carnival patterns.

Found it. It is the Dugan Cherries Bowl in Peach Opalescent. I'm not sure what the painted flowers are supposed to be. The example in the article are white violets. Thank you. It is carnival glass.

99p each from Charity shop. The c clasp made me buy the gold (no hallmarks) one, Pearl might be faux as doesn’t feel gritty, gold holds well tested on stone with my 9ct acid so might be 15ct, it does look bright. I couldn’t leave the damaged Scottish enamel one, it needs the @kyratango treatment.

:)sweet finds! If you decide to "housefulise" the thistle, don't forget to fully polish bright the metal where the enamel is lacking! Time to find some green nail polish and mix it with clear to match existing.;)

Thanks for the tips Kyra, I will give it a go, only 7 months to my retirement and then I can get on doing repairs. I will post the result.

Retirement is wonderful but don’t be surprised that it is still hard to get things done. :)

Charles Field Haviland mark. Handpainted. 1884.
Small pitcher - 5 1/2 inches tall. So much limoges coming in that they priced it low. I paid $9 after my discount.

I loved how they laced the flowers into the body of this medium sized vase (5 inch). So highly polished that it feels like silk. No Mark. Polished pontil scar. Much divergence on the web on origin.

It looks like the pearl in your pin is a replacement; it fits well enough but not the way it was supposed to. I'd have bought that poor thistle too. I can get heat-set metal paints if I look for them and want to shell out. You probably can too.

That's exactly my thought, someone popped a pearl half in. I'd have expected a coloured stone of some sort. But for that money.....!

For a whole pound for real gold, there's no arguing. There's just putting it in your pocket and hustling it out the door!

That's still better than I do hitting six in one week here. Our petrol prices are headed up too.
