help identifying porcelain stamp

    could you please help me identify the stamp and the porcelain

    The stamp reads "Shou" in Chinese and means longevity, so it is an auspicious mark rather than a Name. The letter exists in Japanese too, and this jar appears to be Japanese, maybe 1930s or 1950s...

    It may be a ginger jar missing a lid.
