    Hello

i bought this vase today, im guessing its just a studio piece? When i bought it, it seemed to have been painted in white overglaze. It was flaking off and i could see a green glaze below so i took the rest of it off. It revealed an unusual patterned colouring.

There is also a raised X shaped mark underneath. 14cm height.

the glaze looks like a process called crystalline which was made famous by Fulper - a lot of studio artist are now replicating it - have no idea about the x mark...

I did think about crystalline glaze, but the pattern it created is much softer than the normal ‘crystals’.

When i bought it i had my fingers crossed it was Chinese in a baluster form, but i suppose this is now a fairly generic vase shape.
