Vintage Venice painting-what do you think?

Hi all,this large vintage oil on canvas painting is not mine (but thinking of buying it) Also apologies I have limited photos at this stage. Does anyone perhaps recognise the signature? I have searched: Paoleth,Paubeth,Paobeth,Paoberth? It’s large maybe 85cmx70cm. Any thoughts on the painting? Skill of artist? (I know the photos are not great )Thank you for any comments and keep well

Thank you for the reply. Is it the frame? Or what makes you think so? I have photos of the back hopefully tomorrow.

 

The frame for some reason ‘worries’me bit. But I really wasn’t thinking factory painting at all.

 

I think it's a souvenir painting. I see Paoletti too. A name associated with Venice and painting. (Not this one; his work is much finer.)

I’m seeing a bunch of zeros on that price tag! I would think it is from middle of the 20th century, maybe a touch earlier. Just a guess. There are a number of artists named Paoletti and I saw paintings with similar signatures in style attributed to multiple artists.

not a great sign. All those zeros adds up to about $140.. But reading all the comments,I think I will give it a definite skip.Thank you again all
