Good Morning! I have this brooch, but I believe this was an old watch brooch pin at one time and the center was replaced with a jade stone. There are no markings other than SILVER, so I was wondering if this is an antique piece and any other information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for responding and have a safe day. I don't think this was an old watch pin. I usually think of those as having a swivel piece so you can turn the watch to view it. But I'm not an expert in watch pins, so wait for others.

Possible that center stone was replaced, or maybe original, too. I would have thought original at first glance. Very pretty brooch!

Where would the watch hang from? I agree - not a watch pin.

The face of the watch was where the stone is now. the stone is around 12 mm in diameter. To me it looks like there was a back because of the depth.

Hi Ezee. A watch brooch is a brooch with a watch pendant, so you could flip it up to see the time.:)
I think the open back of the stone means it was always meant for a stone. That and the fact that yours is a one-piece brooch, instead of a brooch with a pendant watch, means it is an original piece.

If you look at the back of the watch in the link you posted, it is the proper back of a watch case, and the watch dangles from the top part.
