Take a look at this link to Chinese marks. The very first section shows CHINA marks, Some have examples of the pieces the marks were found on, as well. May not be conclusive, but it's our usual place to start.

Hmm when you speak of replicas maybe this is one, a lot of it looks slanted and missing areas like glued on almost. But I'm naive. Thanks for looking into it

The bottom looks somewhat pristine so I would take a shot at late last century but I'm no expert. More will be along in about 12 hours when the U.S.A. starts to wake up.:D

Never occurred to me to check the actual time. It is 10:50AM (daylight saving) EST time here and most members seem to come online in about 11-12 hours from now and mostly stay online for about 8 hours. Guess I forgot about our European members or just plain can't add up.:)

It is not a replica because is it not a copy of an earlier piece.
It is 20th century Chinese, made in a style that is reminiscent of Japanese Satsuma ware, and with Japanese style decorations, like Japanese ladies in kimono. The colours and overall execution are entirely the manufacturer's invention though.
