I made my husband take me grocery shopping near that thrift shop I rarely get to. Some non-jewelry finds, $5 and less (it's like shopping at 5 Below, only with better stuff.)

I had to go out yesterday for a few appointments. Heat in the car was 104 degrees. I am staying in until it rains later and cools down to the low-mid 80s. Stopped at a thrift that rarely misses anything, went through all the trays.
This place gets new things from QVC, I have two of these already, above. Goldwashed? sterling with citrine, long chain. Below,

Marked Denmark sterling, Hermann Siersbol, $3.

These pearls are beautiful, mark is in the inside bottom loop, maybe sterling, maybe 14k, $3.

 

Plate of miscellaneous...GF kitty is Winard, $3. Marcasite bow, not sure if costume or sterling, $3, marcasite bar pin, $8, sterling marcasite earrings, $3, sterling heart earrings, $2, Sajen sterling blue topaz earrings, $10. Leaf pin Krementz. $3, artisan clock earrings, $4. All less 25%.

I've got the twin to that Arabic brooch and I think also the Hobe earrings.

Do you know the approximate age of the Hobes? And do you know if your twin is silver or silverplate?

 

Found a single 14K cufflink in a junk bag at the thrift store in June

Found a matching one in a junk bag yesterday

They have likely put out 20+ bags in the intervening period plus all the regular jewelry

 

Found some plain earrings yesterday ... and found the .333 mark when I got home. Two bucks. There was a lady there who used to "be in the antique business" and wanted $15 for a caviar bead purse. (as if) Meanwhile the legit gold went the door for two bucks, and so did the saddle leather Coach purse. Go figure.

 

There were $1 grab bags at one of my thrifts recently. They threw a single 14k garnet earring in one, and it just may have been a single, but the mark was underneath the post. You know I looked closely at all the bags. In the same bag was a thinner squashed 14k earring. You never know. Show us the cufflinks when you get a chance. I don't find very many gold and sterling cufflinks.

 

My twin brooch isn't marked, but I do think it's at least low grade silver. The Hobe, I think, are 80s.
