Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Hi all! Of which I have exactly one.....trouble is, I cannot see if it is a CC or not with the proper # of tail feathers as it is set in a cuff link setting........BUT I sure would like to know!!!! Was behind in my MAD reading & catching up & came across this: Guess it doesn't even have to be CC....mostly proper TFs!!

    So, here is mine:

zzzzzMy Cuff Link2.jpg zzzzzBack.jpg It's a conundrum, for me, and of course, a VERY SLIM chance there's any significant value!!!!! Here's the whole belt and cuff links.....they're all 1921 on the belt and the other cuff link is 1888.....Ah, to dream!!!!!!!!!!

dream on.....unless u can pop it out of the setting...

    BTW...love the belt...but it's gotta weigh a ton !
& love the cuff link settings....very professional,
can you twist the coin in the setting or is it stuck in it's position?

It looks like the rings on the belt are soldered on. Which means no value as coins, 'just' as a beautiful silver belt.

    Yeah but.............
There are three different types of reverse for the 1878 7 feathers, 2nd reverse and 3rd reverse are only worth around $35 in that condition, yours looks circulated and then dipped.

The expensive example you show is the top grade possible.

78cc is valued at around $135

Best press it out of that bezel and take a look.

It doesn't appear that the coins are soldered, just a double sided bezel.

I'm with double D...pop that baby out and have a look, unless there's a sentimental value to it.

popping it out may ruin the bezel.....i'd try twisting first.!

The coins alone weigh 454.41 grams without the bezels and chain and cut out fob, so the coins are a Pound

    Hi,
I had an aunt that gave me a pound of money way back when. It was the first twenty silver dollars I ever had. Her bank was selling them for Christmas presents.
I remember they came in a square green box lined with gold paper. It was a magical present.
