20220807_090048.jpg Hubby and I stayed over in Chaddsford, PA, for our 23rd anniversary. Visited an antique mall, not silver, but acquired from silver scrappers. 20220807_090125.jpg 20220807_090015.jpg 20220807_090004.jpg I will post this on the jewelry board to see if anyone recognizes the hallmark. More to come later.

20220807_093604.jpg The rest of the weekend. We were going to an outdoor antique show today, but it's an hour each way with shore traffic, and it's in the 90s again....nope.
From the dealer who got all those perfumes last weekend

This bracelet is on the jewelry board. I am sure this is breakage at $10. The stones are carnelian.

Karis laboridite was a freebie. The stone is much better in person.

I’ve got one of the Nina Ricci pendant bottles somewhere. Supposed to be Marc Lalique design.

The faux amber is definitely faux - you can see the big bubble/hole inside the beads.

Yeah, it was only $5, I could tell my the uniformity of the beads and the feel it was faux. There were some bargains in the basement. I don't know the difference between lucite and plastics, hence the question mark.

Lucite is plastic so...? You get to the point where you can feel the difference eventually, but it takes a while.

I usually only go to Goodwill on Tuesdays when you can get a 25% senior discount on everything. I know I probably miss treasures but it is a way to curb the amount of stuff I drag home. :p:p

I was on my way home on Friday from a run to the consignment shop where I dropped off a load of packing paper & ended up picking up a few things.:rolleyes:

I drive right past the Goodwill & on a whim decided to drop in for a quick look around. :bag::bag:

The first thing I saw was a stack of 8 dinner plates that I thought were pretty & was shocked when I turned them over to see they were Spode in the Maritime Rose pattern ($8.95). Right next to them was what I thought was a very nice footed cake plate that turned out to be made by Lenox in the Gerbera Daisy pattern ($1.95). The next aisle had a stack of 7 Rosenthal salad plates in the Diplomat pattern ($6.95). On another shelf was some cups & saucers to match the Spode plates. I also found 4 Villeroy & Boch crystal wine goblets ($0.95 each), a pair of very nice pair of brass sconces ($4.95), a pair of Mottahedeh brass candle sticks with pears & leaf dangles ($3.95 each) & some Blue Sky cocktail glasses that have a pottery stem in the shape of a cat with Happy Thanksgiving written on the base ($2.95 each) along with a few misc. odds & ends so my cart was pretty jam packed.

I was just about to leave when I decided to check out the first set of shelves & saw a pitcher w/ 4 tumblers in the Indiana Iridescent Green Harvest pattern ($8.95) with no damage whatso ever. :jawdrop::jawdrop:

I had to carry it in one arm while pushing the cart with my other hand because there was absolutely no place to put in in the cart.:facepalm::facepalm:

Here are some quick photos before I got most everything cleaned up earlier today.

Those rose pattern plates are gorgeous You never see anything remotely valuable in GW here. Stopped going years ago. I have to stop myself from buying cake plates like that, no room.

I think it might be earlier, with that moire back mirror and the wee finger loop. Maybe 30s. It's in perfect condition, which is astonishing.

Yes, 30s was my next guess. Amazing what we find in pristine condition....so many ladies put things away and never used them.

They never turn up in good nick here. Always loose/missing beads, stained lining, etc. And for two quid? Kthnxbye!

Looks like you found a bit! My Ill Will gives seniors 10% off on Wednesdays, i.e. it covers the sales tax. I generally go in Tuesday mornings because that's when anything worth buying goes out. There's nothing to buy on Wednesday. They started doing the dollar sale on the old half price color, but that's obviously not an inducement. The few times I go in on Sunday anything I want is newly stocked.

I don't know about other states but SC doesn't charge sales tax on purchases.

I spent $98.80 on everything I bought & I will make close to or more than twice that just on the dinner plates. :D:D

Sales tax on just about everything here, unless it's in a charity shop in a building owned by the charity. If they rent space they charge sales tax. Go figure.

    Nice!
