Does anyone know much about the history of the Carhartt logo?

I bought this out of someone's garage here today in Georgia, but it was weird circumstances, so I didn't ask him about it.

I'm not sure if this is someone's hand made piece for their shop, or if Carhartt used these as promotional advertising for wholesale buyers...

I tried looking up a shop owner for W. A. Guest between 1880-1930, but just came up with some farmers and a railroad worker.

This website says the script logo was used from 1910-1960.

    It measures 38.5" x 20.5"

    What do yall think?
What kind of value would yall put on this piece?

Thanks! I saw OK the website it included that "on clothing" it started using the diagonal logo, Im wondering if that means it was used prior on advertising.

I was getting a 1920s/1930s vibe as well.

I would go very high on the price!!! Workwear stuff is super valuable usually. I’ve seen Carhartt re-pop stuff but this clearly doesn’t look like it’s new. I sold a workwear retail display piece from around 1920 for almost 2k that I got from someone’s garage for a bit over $200. The guy who bought it from me is probably going to send it to Japan or Taiwan. He specializes in denim and workwear items and that’s where the market is on that stuff. Shoot for the moon and hold out for a high price is my advice. It took me over a year to sell mine but it was worth it. I have no idea how rare this is or what it’s worth but I’d look at lots of comps and aim high. Just my 2 cents.

edit: Actually if you’re willing to ship it I can put you in touch with the guy if you want. He seems to be a real big time buyer. He told me he paid 30k for an early Levi’s dead stock jacket.
