Tag and estate sales are practically nonexistent here.

I have no idea. I looked at a green rhinestone brooch she had, unsigned, and she wanted $50. I love pearls, so they go in my private collection.

They will probably say "things in the case aren't on sale."

Got me another Mirro cookie press with attachments at an estate sale today.
    Yay!
It was brutal waiting to get in in the heat. But made a friend on line who also sells on Etsy

Edited I also saw the EZ Bake Oven at the sale NIP I had as a kid as many of you know. No one was buying it since it would cost a mint to ship, but I marveled just looking at what was my favorite toy. Memories like the corners of my mind...

Congratulations! Do you ever find those shooter cookie presses? I had one, I was always shooting the dough backwards all over myself. They go for sky-high prices around Christmas.

Yes Marko, I see them and the salad shooters too. I stay away from anything that might not work once it is plugged into the wall. The old Mirro cookie presses are completely old school, you have to push the dough out with the plunger no outlet required.

I never ever made cookies that way in my life but it seems so many people did and want the one their mother or grandmother had.
The only issue with these are that they are not lightweight since they are made of aluminum.

But what you said is good to know thanks.

I would ask, at an estate sale especially, to plug it in. Our outdoor flea market has outdoor outlets and vendors let people check the electronics. I don't make those kinds of cookies either. I stick to drop cookies like chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and those cookies with Hershey kisses on top.

I bought my sister a battery operated press a few years back. She had one and I knew it might be dead from use by now. My mom thought i was nuts; sister took one look and made off with it! Brand stinkin' new in box, and some charity shop had it for $3.

When we went to the antique show last weekend, we stopped at a thrift I rarely get to. I guess I have to check it out more. It is arranged by displays- different themes, like spring, red, white & blue, beach, etc. You really have to look for things. In the back of the store in the craft section sat this:

Torid 11 or Toridii, Tokyo, pristine embroidered silk velvet. Probably never used, $8. One dealer had vintage purses at the antique show, they sold like hot cakes.

Yesterday I found this Three Faces biscuit jar. A reproduction made for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It sold in their catalog back in the 70s. I saw it in the catalogue as a kid. All these years it's been in the back of my mind.....till I spotted it yesterday in an antique mall!
