Brillant as Chris Lee is...and he was my fave until I got a glimpse of...this

I never ever would have expected that Depp could be attractive. SO DAM ATTRACTIVE. Made me clutch a fair few pearls in my utter horror but I was powerless to resist. I don't watch films, but I rewatch Bits of...He on youtube.

Makes me come over all unnecessary.

Sorry for bringing the party down.

Actually *Dracula* is one of my fave books ever, as well. In fact my kids and I love it, three of my sons anyway
Sorry @stracci but the Bram Stoker effort is gently taken the mick of, in our house, ( in a nice way. xx )

(Silly me tagged the wrong member! Sorted now xx )
We say to each other, often *I say...is the carstle far* in our best Keanu Reeves English approximation.
(Bears little or no resemblance to the book but do films ever? xx)

Absolutely, the one and only! Suave, handsome, and very vampireish.
I do love Gary Oldman though, in any movie.

The soap opera Dark Shadows had a vampire but not attractive. But I remember watching the show with my mother.

A few Halloween's ago, I went to a special showing of the 1922 German silent film Nosferatu at a historic theatre. Unfortunately, the movie is now so out-of-date that it was causing a lot of giggles in the audience... which ruined the amibience.
I must admit, the portrayal of the female lead was... amusing!

You know something Boudicca-Jones, you have a good point, I had forgotten about that little treasure of a film and as a Vampire of the modern Emo world quite fitting. Depp does make get involved in some brilliantly humourous films.

It is a pity that the audience had no idea what they were seeing, an Expressionist masterpiece. I saw it years ago, and still find it memorable.

I've never seen him in anything before, I knew who he was but that was about it ...my daughter was watching something on her laptop and I saw...He. OMG my heart went fast and I thought well, who is THAT.
Imagine my horror/shookness when I discovered wasn't a well brought up English vamp of the highest order but...Johnny Depp.
Got over it immediately though and commenced to having a leetle perve. Vamps actually are not my Thing, I imagine they are boring to talk to and smell gross and are obsessed with...that red stuff. Ofc would make an exception for the (second) Mr. Barnabas Collins xx

Giggles? That IS a weird reaction, surely? . Even *I*, the film philistine, know it's a classic. My sons love it. Even I can get the atmposphere xx

Don't throw tomatoes, but I am not a fan of Depp. Not because of the trial, but to me he is not my idea of attractive. Looks like he needs a bath. But to each their own.

    Barnabas Collins! The original.
I always loved the black ring. In later years, I got one just like it!

I agree Bakers. Watched it when I got home from school. To be honest, I don't remember anything about it but I watched it faithfully with my mom.
