    Good morning all
I am just trying to work out who this Crown makers mark belongs to. It features on a beautiful porcelain set decorated with colourful birds.
I suspected Crown Derby at first, but there is nothing else around the crown so not entirely sure.
Any help would be much appreciated!
    thank you!

Most crown marks are accompanied with other text or symbols as well, without those additional marks your crown may appear quite similar to many others, for instance, yours is similar to the Wild Bros China Crown Mark, but is lacking the filled-in shading in the centre sections of the crown, not to mention the W BROS lettering.

Are there any other potential Marks on the items in the area? Sometimes, more than one mark at a time is used.

If not, I hope someone else recognises the mark or the pattern for you. ;)

Lovely set. Just so people don't need physio:

    Thank you for your response!
No other marks at all, unfortunately, just the solitary crown and pretty birds

Based on the two photos provided, I suspect a possible repro from Japan, but I could be wrong...
What history do you know about the set? What country was it purchased in? Can you provide photos of the (entire) bottoms of some pieces? (Can help determine age.)
Not Crown Derby, the quality does not appear to be there.
Many manufacturers used a crown in their mark but included their name or some other letter/mark to distinguish their work.

Thank you very much for looking into it! This was purchased in the UK from a house clearance, it came with quite a few other pieces, a couple that look oriental, possibly meiji period Japan, so a very good observation re this being an East Asian reproduction, quite likely given the wider context!
and of course, adding some additional pictures here. I gave the pieces a close look and it doesn’t look like transfer printed to me (but I could of course be wrong)!
thank you again, appreciate your help!

I found a couple listed as Bird of Paradise by Thomas Poole, but no reference anywhere.

    Good find!

With jpj's info, I did find these two listings but they appear to use the same photos so they are likely to be the same seller?

There is NO info on why the seller claims Thomas Poole. Very suspect and worth asking the seller for info. A quick search does not produce anything to support the seller's claim.
One seller's unsubstantiated claim as to origin should not be used to make a definitive identification.
EDIT: It is possible the seller is making an assumption based on the styling of the crown stamp, like you did in initially suspecting Crown Derby. If you message the seller and ask, do let us know of the response. :)

These are very good points! Have just contacted the seller on Ebay and heard back immediately, they responded they used Etsy as a reference, so will try there, too, and will certainly update the group if I hear back from them:)

Just a quick update, the seller on Etsy responded to advise they used the Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks for reference. Now to see if I can find one in the library!

There are some on the replacements site under Victoria Austria, which actually seems likely. I searched laurel birds.

I don't actually think it's quite the same as Poole from Godden's Encyclopaedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks but you can compare for yourself along with other examples of crown marks he shows.

Here are a few Victoria marks from Rontgen's book of marks for comparison.
