Me too. He sits here on my desk, and gives me sweet looks all day long.

Shiloh, I'm not convinced about your otter. Face looks more like a polar bear. Usually otters look more, um, otterish. 20141218_154733.jpg

It's OK, I bought the above piece from a major auction house that had it listed as a polar bear. In their defense, if you look at it from the other side and don't see the long tail (which bears don't have) it does sorta look like a primitive bear.

If I had a nickel for every time a major auction house mis- identifies a lot......I'd have many many nickels !

Wow-That little sculpture post turned into a very long, stimulating thread. You never know what will happen when you list something-but it definitely beats getting ignored though.
Mess- Good luck with your Seal,Bird,Otter,Giraffe,Anteater,Kitty-Wait ! Maybe a passenger on Noah's Ark carved this, that might make this rather valuable.
Opinions on poss of Noah's Ark provenance ? Sumerian 3000-4000 BCE .

Just FYI -- Messilane hasn't come back here in quite a while.
She is my friend on Facebook, and has moved her posting activities there, it seems. It happens!
