Featured Help with Arabic? mark on necklace please

Hi all, a friend got this necklace in a thrift, lucky since the gold marks are very clear. The stones test in the tourmaline/iolite range.



Anyway, the chain us marked 21k and something that looks Arabic, can anyone tell me anything about that? These are 2 shots of the same marks just in case 1 looks better than the other.



On the pendant's bail there is an 18k mark and something that looks like Elao. I tried Googling and eBoo but it didn't come up with anything. Anyone recognize the mark?



Lastly on the back of the pendant is KS:



Any help pointing me in the right direction for an ID on this would be very much appreciated

The marks opposite the 21K definitely look like Arabic, but not like the Arabic for 21; maybe maker & date year. Not consistent with Egyptian marks, but they're not the only country that marks in Arabic.

 

I'll bet that's UAE/Dubai gold. Damas, or someone like.

 

Could well be. 21k is used in most of Asia, including the Gulf.
Beautiful pendant. Is it stylised calligraphy or just an elegantly flowing ribbon?

My hair always gets caught in between the 'boxes'. I'd much rather have a snake chain, never had any problems with those.

 

I had a sterling box cut thru a round bale on my pendant...
and a gold one , a box broke and the chain ended up in my underwear ....
grrrrrr...

 

Sound like they hate you as much as you hate them.

 

let's just say I sold the gold one for melt....and hope it was actually melted !!!!
