    “Old Chinese Porcelain Shard”

Which I know is not exactly right. Do you recognize it? Are some pieces worth more than others. How can you tell age of item?

Looks most like an early 20th century piece from a famille rose plate or similar. The shard has no value on its own, value now is as a piece of jewellery only.

It’s very cute. I like it!. Most of the ones I’ve seen are just random pieces of patterned china, yours has a more interesting subject.

Welcome, Atlantis. Your description is fine. To the best of my knowledge, these are not made from pieces of a porcelain item that had great value before it broke. As has already been said, the value here is in the piece as an item of jewellery. The quality of the metal frame & chain are going to determine its worth, not the shard.

These are still made, so yours may be quite recent.

    Agree.
For instance, search "broken china jewelry" on Etsy.

This one's better than most, they've used the figure well.

Thank you. I thought the figure looked quite interesting and somewhat older…pre 1920

I definitely respect your opinion but the pendant was from an estate sale
I definitely agree that it could have been made somewhat recent (assembled) but the tile does not appear recent. As well, the pendant was a part of a family members estate and I know that she did not purchase it any time recent (past 25 yrs).

Do you have a photo of the back side? What metal is the frame/bezel made of?What does the clasp look like?
