I started researching Vintage Costume Jewelry(50 yrs too late!) and Wow...' Vintage' ca be circa 2000 & the prices on some pieces !!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta stop running to the big stuff and start lookin' at the 'tinys'. From glancing at the Finds Forum, there's a lot of used Jewelry out there, and not so many (real) Tiffany Lamps. That's the end maybe-of my 'Duh' comments for now.

Richard Begay's prices are all over the map-$35 to $100,guess it's age, size, complexity ? Nice stuff.

No wonder Jewelry is such a huge Forum-guess some pickers (like me) still walk by the 'smalls'.

I thought some of you might be amused by this embroidered handkerchief I found mixed in with a bunch of 1950s and 60s hankies and scarves:

Kind of an unusual motif for a hanky!

I'm in Connecticut. I used to find a lot of jewelry. The Ill Will stores in state don't sell any at all any more; it all goes on line for just about retail.

Our Ill Wills never had any on the floor. Our thrifts sell to dealers first, and some really jacked up jewelry prices. I do best at flea markets, antique shows, antique malls, and community yard sales.

Our Ill Wills had it until just before Covid. For the others, same here. The best were church and synagogue sales that haven't happened since 2019. (sigh)

I don't have an Ill Will close by. I do have many estate sales, thrift shops to hunt around in. I know the thrift shops that offer good merch at low prices and those that don't understand pricing so everything is way too high. We have lots of yard sales and garage sales here in the summer. Some are horrible, some have one or 2 items worth stopping for. The people running the estate sales say business is bad this year so some are actually selling some things for a bargain,

Book I am totally buggin over your hankie. LOL
All I can think of is the commercial for RAID.

Catching up on this thread. Great finds everyone.

Marie, those bracelets are stunning. Can see why you had to get them! I'd think some designer or another. A cut above, no question.

LOL Johnny on the story with the vase. Can absolutely relate to putting a fabulous piece above the call of nature.

MOS loved the wine tasting/antique booth advice about pricing. What a great idea for an event. I think that's why some stores have "free coffee". You spend more when you feel good.

More likely meant for Athena & Aphrodite. The MOP is unusual in having what looks like a classical building in the field in front of her face, if I'm reading the pic correctly, which I'm often not.

I thought it might be a lyre instead of a building. What time period do you think they are witha tube hinge?

My immediate impression also was of lyre strings, which would indicate the Muse Erato. But the more I looked, the more I saw a fanciful building with a ridiculous number columns & a dome, set at an angle. Pseudo-classical.

Do they each have a trombone clasp peeking out from behind? Could we see the backs? The findings you are describing sound significantly older than the cameos appear to be.
