Hoping for tolerable weather Memorial Day Weekend...Saturday I get up around 4 a.m. to go yard saleing down the shore areas....there is also an outdoor show that is hit or miss, too. 95 yesterday, 96 today....I barely made it grocery shopping.

I feel your pain. Going from New York weather to Georgia weather in a few days has me wilting like unstarched linen!

    I've been so busy lately.
When I've got large items from house clearances I've just dropped them off at my lock-up and not had time to do any research.
Today I was tidying up and sorting stuff out all day.
I got this very early domed trunk, it is marked M.I or M.L on the lid.
    Only visible on the photo.

When it was recovered it had old sheets and bedding inside, I left these in until today.

There's been a spooky family living inside all the time.:hilarious:

I also cleaned up this Edwardian hall stand I found in the last clearance.
It has a built in swivel mirror.

I don't hate dolls, but those look like good Halloween decorations. I do like the hall tree and the tea trolley/table/whatsit.

I'm not a doll lover but its just what comes in and there has been an influx of dolls lately.
2 of them are made in England, one in Germany and the big one is a Reliable Doll from Canada.
    I won't sell them until I know what I have.

Searching through boxes of stuff at my lock-up today and found 7 silver spoons.
    All very small,
6 are a set hallmarked under the bowl Sheffield 1921
1 single which appears to be a bowling award, hallmarked inside the bowl, Chester 1938.

I wonder what the set of six were for, they measure 4 inches.

Davey who made that watch you showed. I have my grandfather's watch here somewhere and it looks similar to yours. But my memory could be incorrect.
