Bohemian garnet ?

Hello- please help me identify this bracelet and necklace-is this valuable?

not very familiar with vintage/ antique English jewellery…

Thanks! I guess my question was confusion- not really after a valuation per day- but I guess just more info on these if anyone has any- I picked up a bit of costume jewellery and am pretty out of my depth

 

The longer one looks like 1920s/30s Czech glass from here. The bracelet is garnet, probably post-WWII from the clasp. Someone else might know more if we saw the backs; that's where the real information often is.

 

Agree the necklace is between the wars Czech glass. Bracelet might well be garnets.

 

Best to have them tested to be sure.

I’m pretty sure I’ve got the green version of that necklace and it’s glass but never say never!.

 

I've variants on the necklace, as you might guess.

 

I think that the bracelet is real stones… no markings on it, but very sparkly…

 

Also any info on this one- the rhinestone bracelet.
I didn’t think it had any marking but there’s really small really scratches writing, all u could make out was 9/8 VS and some other handwritten numbers/ letters

the turquoise necklace I think is 1920s glass- and the Pearl necklace I’m pretty sure is mikimoto…

Very difficult to say, for us who don't have it in hand. Many 'glass garnets' used to be handcut in Bohemia, just like the real Bohemian garnets.
Some garnet glass necklaces and bracelets even had gold clasps.

 

A jeweller or lapidarist can do that for you. Look for one who will do it for free.

 

Some pieces also had a mix of glass and garnet.

 

True, as long as it served its purpose.
In The Netherlands the colour of the garnet (or glass) was more important than whether the garnets were real or not.

That's a lovely one. I've seen pieces with one rather large central stone, glass, and garnets as the surround.

 

Is it marked? Can we see the mark? If not marked I don't think you can claim it's Mikimoto.

 

@sparclette are you using an iPhone? If so maybe go and buy the App Camera +2 . It’s excellent and only a few £. It has a very good macro setting for hallmarks and close ups
Far superior to the standard camera on the iPhone. Better depth of field (hope I’m using the right tekky term there) and less shadow.
